Hello! My name is Amanda Jeffries and I offer short and long term counselling and psychotherapy.
You may be seeking help because you are going through a time of crisis or pain, or because you have have felt depressed, anxious or stuck for some time. There may be past or present issues or relationships that you feel the need to explore. My core approach is psychodynamic, which means that we will work together to get to the root of current or long-term difficulties, make sense of them, and work through the feelings involved. We will also look at how your present lifestyle and outlook may be affecting your general wellbeing. My aim is to help you understand yourself better, move forward, and find more satisfying ways of thinking, feeling, relating and living.
I see people either online or in person. In-person sessions can be conducted either in a consulting room in central Oxford, or walking and talking outside in a park. Where possible, I prefer to meet face to face for our first session.
